Taking care of one’s health: methods, tools, experiences

09.08 > 12.15.26

Program

Each workshop in this regular series approaches choreographic practice through the lens of self-care and care for others. They are designed as a dialogue between practice and theory, dance and health, with four key objectives: to inspire, experiment, transmit, and equip.

This workshop cycle will address the physiological and biomechanical specificities that directly influence all bodily functions in female dancers. While the hormonal cycle is one of the factors to consider during practice, listening to a person's specific needs and adapting dance training conditions are simultaneously a driver for performance optimization, the key to career longevity, and a guarantee for preserving the dancer’s psychological well-being.
