Starting a new career
The Professional Resources division supports career paths and careers in the dance sector.
Through involvement in higher education programmes, workshops and one-to-one discussions, the CN D supports dance students in developing their career plans and entering the profession, whilst providing them with information on the legal framework governing the sector.
The CN D pays particular attention to changes in working environments and evolving practices, and also offers a range of continuing professional development programmes to support skills development.
The careers of dance artists go through successive stages and developments, amongst which career transition plays a central role. The Career Support Service provides information and support to dancers during this significant stage.
The CN D is a member of the International Organisation for the Transition of Professional Dancers (IOTPD).
