Whether on theater stages, at dances, or in the streets, dances are linked to necessities, commitments, or reflections that offer a perspective on the world. This course aims to contextualize dances and connect them to the history of forms and ideas, as well as to the social, political, or economic contexts in which they emerged. The goal is to enrich the knowledge and thinking of those involved in arts and cultural education and outreach projects, in order to inform their practice and draw attention to the current contexts in which these works are received.

Publics

Artists, teachers, and program coordinators working at cultural institutions, local governments, or nonprofit organizations; individuals responsible for public relations; professionals in the social, health, or legal sectors; and project leaders involved in arts and cultural education.
