The IOTPD is an international network of organisations dedicated to providing professional dancers with the resources and support they need as they face the end of their artistic careers and prepare to embark on a new career.

Description of the open call

The International Organisation for the Retraining of Professional Dancers (IOTPD) offers the Philippe Braunschweig Grant to support dance artists in their career transition after leaving the stage. Worth up to €5,000, this grant is aimed at dancers who have had an international career and are not eligible for national retraining support schemes.

Eligibility requirements

  • Not be eligible for retraining support in any of the countries where the artist has worked.
  • Have danced professionally during the three years preceding the application deadline for the IOTPD’s Philippe Braunschweig Fellowship.
  • Provide evidence of at least 36 months’ professional activity over a minimum period of eight years.
  • Have worked in one of the IOTPD’s member countries: (Germany, Canada, South Korea, Spain, the United States, France, Japan, the Netherlands, Poland, the Czech Republic, the United Kingdom, Switzerland).
