Description of the open call
The Blois Danse International Festival offers six companies and choreographers a production platform to present their work in a 630-seat theatre in Blois.
The festival aims to offer the selected artists the opportunity to present two choreographed pieces from their repertoire, media exposure and support throughout the festival.
Eligibility requirements
- The Festival is particularly keen to programme contemporary, modern, jazz and hip-hop dance.
- The pieces presented should be between 10 and 25 minutes in length.
- Applicants must submit a minimum of two different works.
- Pieces suitable for all audiences (no nudity).
- The pieces must have simple technical requirements.
Offered support
- €200 per dancer, paid to the company
- Accommodation in the city centre + breakfast
- Contribution towards travel expenses of up to €100 per dancer
- Opportunity to lead two masterclasses (50 per cent of the proceeds paid to the artists)
- Media coverage (TV, radio, press, social media, etc.)
- Photos of the performances
- Sharing of the selected companies’ promotional materials with our network of programme directors
