Moving words, moving dance

Words do not describe the world: they organize it. They draw centers, produce margins and orient possible gestures. What if we freed ourselves from the dominant norm and biomedical diagnoses that limit certain bodies to one single reading: their deficiency? This one-day event stems from one simple conviction: every living body bears within it a power to dance. Dance arises at the heart of contrast, which is the norm of the living. Isn’t moving the words that describe bodies already a way of shifting the very idea of what a dancing body is?
