Workshop Contemporary – Hip hop

A workshop to develop various techniques from hip hop and breakdancing, and to discover “abstract” dance, based on the quest for a great fluidity in movement, a musicality of the body and the natural emotions that are given off. Soria Rem and Mehdi Ouachek met in 2002. She is one of the emblematic female figures of breakdancing in France and goes on international tours with the Wanted Posse company; he rose to prominence in battles with his group, Infamous. Together, they set up Duo (2010) which laid down the bases of a unique style born from their alchemy: “abstract” dance, whose roots lie in the techniques of hip hop, mingled with different influences such as contemporary dance, mime and the arts of the circus. They set up the company Art Move Concept in 2013.
