With the call for lockdowns day and night, the festive space has become suspect and identified as dangerous. Deemed “non-essential” by the government, festive practices, along with the activities and values they promote, are officially banned in the public space and discouraged in the private sphere. What is really the historical, social and anthropological role played by the dance party? In direct contact with current events, these meetings hosted by the CN D question the meaning and festive functions of dance.
