Supported artists

2021 - 2023

For the selected artist, this support takes the form of assistance with organisational structure, financial support and the provision of workspaces. It is aimed at emerging artists, offering them comprehensive support for the development of their practice, in addition to the services usually provided as part of residencies.

Thibault Lac

Thibault Lac initially studied architecture before joining P.A.R.T.S in Brussels from 2006 to 2010. Whilst studying, he danced in Jérôme Bel’s The Show Must Go On in 2009 and assisted Tino Sehgal during his exhibition at the Guggenheim Museum in New York in 2010. As a performer with Ligia Lewis, Noé Soulier, Eleanor Bauer, Daniel Linehan, Mathilde Monnier, Alexandra Bachzetsis and Daniel Jeanneteau, he is a regular presence in the various formats of Trajal Harrell’s project: Twenty Looks or Paris is Burning at the Judson Church. He also devotes himself to collaborative projects as a creator: Such Sweet Thunder, created in collaboration with visual artist Tore Wallert and composer Tobias Koch, won the Young Choreographers’ Prize at the 2019 Impulstanz Festival in Vienna and was presented at the CN D as part of Camping 2021.

Anna Massoni

Anna Massoni trained in contemporary dance at the CNSMD in Lyon. She took part in Danceweb/Impulstanz (2007) and studied philosophy. As a dancer, she has worked with Johanne Saunier and Jim Clayburgh, Yuval Pick, and currently with Noé Soulier, Vincent Weber, Simone Truong and Cindy Van Acker. She has created the following works: Chants (2011); (To) Come and See (2015), a piece initiated by Simone Truong which became a collaborative creation with Eilit Marom, Elpida Orfanidou and Adina Secretan, and was developed in 2017 as a triptych including (To) Keep in Touch and (To) Give a Hand. Then came Ornement (2016), in collaboration with Vania Vaneau. She created her first solo piece, Notte, in 2019, and Pièce d’angle, a short piece for both outdoor and indoor spaces (2020). She joined forces with Vincent Weber within the same organisation that supports their respective work, the Association 33ème parallèle. She is a founding member of LIEUES, a space for artistic and educational research in Lyon, and of Rodéo, a multidisciplinary journal and platform for dialogue between academic and artistic practices (2012–2015); she also contributes to the graphic design of books published by Trentetrois morceaux.
