This PhD students workshop aims at bringing together the reflections of researchers working in the choreographic arts, dance, or more generally the body as an object. The tools and concepts taken from this discipline, so as to develop an aesthetic analysis, will be highlighted. The point is to make explicit their needs and applications while presenting research results concerning the circulation of works, artists and shows. From the local to the international, how do dances circulate, and what influences do territory and geography have on aesthetics? Such will be the questions that will introduce the discussions at the symposium, which aims to bring together researchers whose work is set in a variety of territories. The 2018/2019 organisational committee of the PhD students workshop consists of Marion Fournier (taking a PhD in the arts at the Université de Lorraine, codirected by the Universität Leipzig), Oriane Maubert (taking a PhD in performance arts at the Université Montpellier 3), Karine Montabord (taking a PhD in the art history at the Université de Grenoble).
