Workshop Contemporary

Martin Harriague has been inspired by different techniques and improvisation methods (Laban, Cunningham, Gaga...) which he learned during his career as a dancer in the Netherlands and Israel. He is interested in the dancing-virtuoso body and, in this workshop, is offering an initiation into one of his writing methods, which he has developed with his collaborators: physical-translations.

Martin Harriague danced with the Malandain Ballet Biarritz Junior (2007), the Ballet National de Marseille (2008), the Noord Nederlandse Dans (2010-2013), before joining the Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (2013-2018). He is now an independent choreographer and artist in residence at the Malandain Ballet Biarritz. In 2021, he will participate in the creation of Idomeneo at the Opera of Lille.
