Archives of the body: around and inside William Forsythe’s choreographic work

Creating new skills, formats and perspectives at the crossroads between classical and contemporary dances, while exploring the “source-ideas” in, and beyond, William Forsythe’s work. Douglas Becker is a choreographer and teacher.

A former dancer with the Joffrey Ballet New York, the National Ballet of Canada, the Dallas Ballet, as well as the Frankfurt Ballet, under the direction of William Forsythe, he has reprised many of the choreographer’s pieces. He has been a guest teacher at P.A.R.T.S. since 1997, at the University of New York, the University of California and the Conservatoires Nationaux Supérieurs de Musique et Danse of Paris and Lyon.
