Classical dance and anatomical awareness

Theoretical and practical dance and anatomy lessons: the body’s line of gravity, the alignment of the legs, articulation of the ankles, and of the knees... A dancer, doctor and osteopath, Liane Simmel directs the medical and dance institute “Fit for Dance”, which specialises in the prevention and therapy of injuries associated with dancing. A dancer, choreographer and teacher at the Finnish National Ballet from 1991 to 2007, Javier Torres has participated in a large number of medical symposiums about dance, sharing his research into the pedagogy of classical dance, both in psychological and functional terms.
