Book edited by Laura Cappelle, Editions du Seuil. This new collective work crosses the history of dance in the West from Prehistory to the present to offer a rigorous and accessible synthesis, intended for professionals and pedagogues as well as amateurs. Fruit of the work of twenty-seven international specialists and preceded by a foreword by William Forsythe, it presents itself as a panorama combining techniques, meaning and circulation of movement.
