Olga de Soto

Fifteen years after its creation, Olga de Soto is revisiting this first “accompanied solo” in which, standing to one side, she makes a dancer move under her gaze. Incorporer here means being one with the elements: ingesting air, assimilating water, resisting vague masses or giving way to fluids. With just a cube and a balloon as the set and props, the performer carries out on stage a series of experimental operations and simple gestures, through which he effaces himself while sensing his relationship with the exterior world. The sound treatment, another invisible material, subtly amplifies the performer’s actions, so as to make the subterranean life of his organism resonate. Through this bodily contact with the environment, between exchanges of fluids and transfers of energies, INCORPORER – KIDs reveals the immediate relationship of a dancer with the real world, a quite simply denuded physicality which turn by turn takes on the allure of a combat and of a fusion with the invisible.
