Within the framework of Under/Ground, this meetup, organized by Linda Hayford, is dedicated to health in hip-hop dance, and aims at opening a space for dialogues between knowledge, self-taught practices and healthcare approaches. How can we better recognize the unique characteristics of hip-hop dance in the health journeys of dancers? How can we integrate real-world experiences, informal learning, and therapeutic frameworks? This one-day event invites artists, researchers, and healthcare professionals to share their perspectives in order to help ensure that the physical, social, and cultural realities of dancers are better taken into account.
