Through a never-before seen installation combining a video canvas, drawings, scores and model sets, Lucinda Childs — une subversion du cadre exposes the methods that have allowed the choreographer to challenge stage dance conventions in collaboration with composers (Philip Glass, John Gibson, John Adams, Elizabeth Swados, Iannis Xenakis), artists (Sol LeWitt, Robert Mapplethorpe, Naan Hoover), set designers (Robert Wilson), architects (Frank Gehry) and the performers in her company.
