4 workshops Merce Cunningham directory for professional dancers by Thomas Caley

Thomas Caley graduated form Purchase College with a Bachelors degree in Fine Arts, after which he joined the Cunningham Dance Company where he danced for seven years. In 2000 he moved to Stockholm Sweden and worked with assisting and teaching for the Royal Ballet in Stockholm. Also during this period he started his choreographic collaboration with Petter Jacobsson. In 2011 they took over the direction of the CCN Ballet de Lorraine. The atelier will focus on the core technical practices/class that Merce Cunningham developed. The participants will explore his very specific language, timing, structure and use of the room that made his choreography so unique and recognisable.
