By Mahina Khanum and Avishaï Léger-Tanger, under the scientific tutelage of Tiziana Leucci, historian and dance anthropologist (CNRS, CEIAS, Paris), and Malavika, Kalpana, Maitryee Mahatma, Parvati Rajamani.
As a new curriculum in odissi Indian dance has opened in the Bobigny conservatory, this one-day conference aims at highlighting the circulation of traditional Indian dances in Europe over the course of several centuries, and to map out how these dances took root in France and what were the challenges brought out by this evolution.
