This course offers approaches to writing and (re)interpreting gestures – from instant composition to choreographic scripting – and to developing the performer’s capacities and nuances. By using somatic approaches, perceptual strategies and choreographic compositional structures, the work will be developed from a precise, in-depth physical research, going as far as an exploration of the specific contexts of writing and interpretation. The various workshops alternate between practices of creation/interpretation and practices of observation, while examining how these two modalities inform and enrich each other.
