Experiences, practices, trajectories: women and hip-hop dance

Hip-hop dance has evolved in spaces where women have long had to carve out a place for themselves. Yet they have danced, fought, created, and passed on their art – and in doing so, they have transformed the field from within. 

How do women engage with and conceptualize hip-hop dance? Together, they reflect on what led them to dance, what they choose to pass on, what they experience when they dance – and what their experiences collectively reveal about these cultures in motion.
