Javier Torres trained as a dancer and teacher in Mexico. He then worked as a dancer, choreographer and teacher for the Finland National Ballet, from 1991 to 2008. He has written over thirty choreographies, including three major classical ballets. As a guest teacher in numerous professional dance companies, he has since 2001 developed a work of research crossing dance and medicine.
