Yuval Pick considers dancers to be responsi-ble for the creation of a work in real time. With Practice, the technique that he has created, he sets about shifting a certain conception of virtuosity so as to reset it at the heart of a technique nourished by an “imaginary body”, which is concretized in motion through precise intentions. Practice allows for the invention of dance trajectories “embodied in the first person”, fed by cognitive and affective frameworks, values and lifestyles which the dancers convoke and revisit in situ.
