Chercheuses et chercheurs, notateurs et notatrices, artistes chorégraphiques présentent ici l’avancée de leurs travaux – des démarches, des pratiques et des gestes artistiques aux esthétiques diverses : pratiques somatiques, danses dites « traditionnelles » ou danses « historiques », fondamentaux de la danse contemporaine, création classique en quête d’une nouvelle qualification, breakdance à l’épreuve des Jeux olympiques à venir.

CN D is France’s leading resource centre for dance. With sites in Pantin and Lyon, it offers choreographers, dancers and professional dance companies a range of programmes, including residencies, studio space and financial support for new works. This page outlines all of these programmes.

CN D is presenting an "online" version of Canal to provide artists with a broader platform for expression. Canal Online features 32 videos, each offering a unique artistic perspective to explore. Since 2020, Canal has also been inviting international organisations to participate. In 2026, the focus is on the Balkan region. Canal online is organised with the support of Caisse des Dépôts, the principal patron, and with the support of ONDA – Office national de diffusion artistique – as part of its program to support digital productions.

The Cinémathèque de la Danse creates programmes to request, for partners in France and abroad, either in the form of complete films or montages of extracts adapted to specific types of programming. This year, numerous theatres, dance centres, festivals, cinemas and cultural centres throughout the world are showing images from the CN D’s collections, as one off events, or linked to a programme, or as part of a more regular collaboration.

This ‘online’ version of the Canal event allows you to discover 29 artistic projects.For the 2025 edition, 9 French structures and 5 structures in the southern Mediterranean active in dance are taking over cnd.fr to present the work of 29 artistic teams that they support.Since 2020, Canal has also been inviting international structures, in 2025, the southern Mediterranean will be in the spotlight.

Dance artists can benefit from a rehearsal space for a short period. This non-selective scheme is aimed at professionals of the dance sector who are part of a legally established organisation. The provision of studios scheme is suspended in Pantin whilst building works are underway. It is running at the CN D in Lyon under the usual conditions.

The residencies aim to support the creation of projects selected by the CN D team by hosting working periods of between one and three weeks. This scheme does not involve any financial support. Previously subject to regular calls for applications, this scheme has been adapted for Pantin whilst the building is undergoing renovation, given the limited number of studios available.
