Dance artists can benefit from a rehearsal space for a short period. This non-selective scheme is aimed at professionals of the dance sector who are part of a legally established organisation. The provision of studios scheme is suspended in Pantin whilst building works are underway. It is running at the CN D in Lyon under the usual conditions.

The residencies aim to support the creation of projects selected by the CN D team by hosting working periods of between one and three weeks. This scheme does not involve any financial support. Previously subject to regular calls for applications, this scheme has been adapted for Pantin whilst the building is undergoing renovation, given the limited number of studios available.

Through the Canal project, CN D makes its location, resources and spaces available to the entire choreographic sector by invited French cultural institutions of various accreditations (CCN, CDC, Scènes conventionnées; Scènes nationales, festivals, etc.). Since 2020, Canal has also invited international structures. The idea is to federate: to offer these projects and supported artists renewed exposure in a common space-time. CN D is presenting an "online" version of Canal to provide artists with a broader platform for expression.Canal online is organised with the support of Caisse des Dépôts, the principal patron, and with the support of ONDA – Office national de diffusion artistique – as part of its program to support digital productions.
