Carnaval is a workshop focusing on the body and costume making for groups of participants from all walks of life. First, physical exercises are offered on the relationship of continuity that is established between bodies and materials.
Each participant is then guided in the creation of their own costume-mask as a transformative element of the body, and time is dedicated to bringing the costume to life as a group. New identities are revealed, the costume being a lever towards multiple imaginations.
The workshop culminates in a public outdoor parade-performance, engaging with the space and the audience. The collective procession consists of walking and standing still, creating a community of totemic figures: ghosts, deities or monsters belonging to another time and visiting the present space. Through them, the invisible bursts into everyday life.
