KillASon

KillASon, alias Marcus Dossavi-Gourdot, is a 23-year-old rapper, dancer and composer based in Paris. Still a student, this young man possesses the energy and talent to coordinate projects on several fronts. He has been rapping since he was a child under the influence of Dr Dre, Snoop Dog, Michael Jackson, Police and OutKast. Under the name Maki La Machete, he combines his vocal artistry with musical production, as well as dance (hip-hop), which in part explains his presence on the CN D programme. This French-Beninese artist incorporates into his world a vision that is unusual for a French rapper: flamboyant look, post-apocalyptic videos, futuristic graphics. The result has been two EPs – The Rize in 2016 and STW1 in 2017 – which revealed a sound between harshness, frenzy and obsessive melodies, praised by the specialist press, notably foreign, since KillASon raps in English. As a dancer, he belongs to the group Wanted Posse et Undercover, with whom he previously won two titles as French champion. For the CN D, he is performing three times: spectators will thus be able to enjoy two performances of 15 minutes in the afternoon, then a more classic concert in the evening.
