Specific contexts. Applications and adaptations of the Benesh system when faced with new artistic and technical challenges
Rudolf Benesh attempted to elaborate a system of writing which, as soon as it was created, would be effective and relevant in a variety of contexts of use: ballet, Indian dance, ergonomics, the medical world... Today, this research spirit remains alive thanks to the varied fields of applications of this system: improvisation, circus, movement analysis, etc... This seminar will create a perspective between a historical return to the little-known origins of the Benesh Movement Notation system, and a shedding of light on its most recent developments and/or applications.
A seminar coordinated by Fabien Monrose and Yaël Heynderickx, graduates from the second cycle of Benesh notation, Conservatoire National de Kusique et de Danse de Paris.
