Foofwa d’Imobilité reinvents by using the techniques of the choreographer Merce Cunningham and invests his heritage through the prism of the Dancewalk.
The dancer and choreographer studied at the l’École de Danse of Geneva before joining the Stuttgart Ballet, then entering the Merce Cunningham Dance Company where he danced from 1991 to 1998. As a choreographer, he started out in New York with multimedia solo projects. In 2000, he set up in Geneva the Company Neopost Foofwa and has created group pieces, in which he collaborates with a large number of artists. He has developed a hybrid activity between teaching and dancing – the Dancewalk – which he currently communicates internationally.
