360° histoires de danse en un jour

10.2025 > 06.2026

Created in 2023, 360° histoires de danse en un jour is an arts and cultural education programme run in primary and secondary schools.

The 360° histoires de danse en un jour programme brings together resources and training teams from cultural organisations, artists and educational teams to work together to develop an immersive day for pupils.

The 360° day is designed as a series of cooperative challenges that aim to spark pupils' curiosity about dance and its history. These challenges encourage them to discover and connect dances from different eras and geographical locations. Listening to the description of a dance from 1913, feeling the energy of the group in a cypher, learning to notate a movement, interpreting a previously unknown traditional dance, deciphering a score, researching the dance of a distant country are all ways of encountering dance and learning about its uses and practices. The circle, a spatial and symbolic figure, runs through all the challenges of the 360° day. Whirling, spiralling and round dancing allow us to connect with ourselves, others and the world. Through multiple practices and methods, the challenges are designed to be accessible and recreational, as well as reflective and educational. They facilitate immersion in choreographic culture. The challenges to be solved and the collective work encourage students to get involved and fully embrace the 360° experience.

Through this programme, the CND supports professionals in developing dance education and cultural outreach projects across France. The content and methods of 360° are taught to teams as part of a training course, and resources are made available to extend the 360° experience and fuel future dance education and cultural outreach projects.

During the 2025/2026 season, the CND will roll out the programme in Pantin, in Martigues in partnership with the Théâtre des Salins, a national theatre, and in other regions (currently in progress).

During the 2023/2024 and 2024/2025 seasons, the CND trialled the programme with
