10 French dance institutions and 6 from the Balkans (Greece, Slovenia, Bulgaria, North Macedonia) gather together in La Briqueterie CDCN, MAC VAL, Théâtre Jean Vilar and cnd.fr to present the work of the 32 artistic teams they are currently supporting: performances, discussions, workshops, debates, screenings.

By launching Canal, the CN D is offering to make its resources available to the choreography sector. For two days, La Briqueterie CDCN, MAC VAL and Théâtre Jean Vilar will be taken over by invited cultural institutions (CCN, CDCN, subsidised and national theatres, festivals, etc.). Since 2020, Canal has also been inviting international organisations; this year, the Balkans are in the spotlight. The idea is to offer, in a shared space and time, new visibility to projects (short excerpts, screenings, oral presentations, etc.) and the artists they support. Canal creates spaces for exchange between artists and professional audiences. Because the professional world is not limited to programming alone, two meetings will be offered.

In 2026, Canal is evolving and adopting a new format: registration will have to be done on predefined routes to ensure that each location is visited.
