Continuing education program for choreographers / Proposed by La Belle Ouvrage
Édition Spéciale focuses on the processes of choreographic creation, composition, and dramaturgy, as well as on the artist's position as a project leader, their place in a professional environment, and their responsibilities. The training places the group of artists at the center of the work, through exchange, listening, and explanation, and analysis of their practices.
Reflecting on a creation, inventing a style for the stage, imagining projects—for the stage, in situ, or digital—questioning the challenges of creation in relation to the world, and formulating one's artistic approach are some of the challenges faced by a choreographer-author. Being an author also means steering one or more projects, finding the right framework for one's activity, and making positioning choices.
Édition Spéciale offers choreographers a collective training space that combines the artistic dimension of the work with questions of trajectory, professional posture, and project management, issues that are often considered separately.
For its 10th session, Édition Spéciale is setting up in different structures for each module, to enable choreographers to gain practical experience of the challenges of territory, partnerships, and the specific realities of different projects: at the CN D (Lyon), L'Atelier de Paris CDCN (Paris), the Collectif FAIR-E / CCN de Rennes et de Bretagne (Rennes), and L'échangeur - CDCN (Château-Thierry).
