"Orage is about entering a state of combined tension and vibration in order to plunge into an experience that perpetually refigures the contours of the forms and sounds that appear. What does it mean to delve into the heart of such an experience and allow oneself to be transformed? How do you prepare for it? It seems to me that you don't prepare for what you don't know. Perhaps we work on not resisting when the time comes. So the work will consist of making oneself available and open. Observe our physical and mental state, look at where there is tension and then release it. Exploring a neutral, unpremeditated state of departure, conducive to letting oneself go, and then moving into the experience of the piece, which strongly links sound and body, each becoming a sounding board for the other."
Dalila Belaza
Dalila Belaza follows a singular path, far from considering dance as a mean to create spectacular images or as an outlet, but as a mystery in motion that questions what escapes. She began her artistic career alongside her sister, Nacera Belaza, sharing a vision of the body as a phenomenon in relation to other phenomena. In 2020, she founded hiya company. Her artistic research aims at linking the memory of traditional ritual with abstraction. It results in a timeless and universal dance that takes shape in her pieces Au cœur, Figures and Rive. In 2025, she began a new cycle with the creation of Orage.
