CN D Pantin
Responding to false ideas recently relayed by the publication of a philosophical wok on dance, which asserts that "dance is a philosopher's blind spot", the aCD is joining forces with researchers in dance philosophy to make visible a whole field of research that is often invisibilized in philosphy whenever it deals with dance, and to question the echoes between theorical discipline and an eminently concrete practice.
Combing a philisphical approach with choreographic or somatic practice, based on concepts and themes such as time, space, emotion, desire, beauty, the city, nature, culture and its strucutres, this event provides an opportunite to question whhat dance does to philosophy, and what philosophy does to dance. In the form of "dynamic" talks lasting around twenty minutes, this conference will bring together a philosopher who has taken dance as his object, and a choreographic artist who has been inspired by philosophy;
