Louise Østergaard

A Franco-Danish dancer, Louise Østergaard trained at the Royal Ballet School in Copenhagen, where she went on to dance with the company for 16 years. She has performed a large number of solo roles in ballets by A. Bournonville, J. Neumeier, G. Balanchine, J. Kylian, P. Martins, M. Petipa, A. Ratmansky, J.Robbins and also works by S.L. Cherkaoui, O. Naharin, A. Preljocaj. At the same time, she was a member of the experimental company Corpus, a research group within the national company. With a wealth of varied experience on stage in Denmark, she teaches and is regularly invited to give masterclasses, workshops and juries in France and abroad. For the last two years, Louise has also been a teacher-trainer for the DE in classical dance.
