CN D Lyon
CN D joins forces with TEC/CRIAC - Travail et Culture and Université Lumière Lyon 2 to host this 6th meeting of the Culture; Arts /Travail platform in Lyon.
The Culture ; Arts /Travail digital resource platform was born in 2017 from the desire of a network of protagonists or accomplices from the world of work for whom “culture” and “work” have many connivances. It is run by TEC-CRIAC and supported by the French Ministry of Culture. Its aim is to promote partnerships and exchanges between different players in the world of work, the cultural sector and research.
With the aim of encouraging exchanges and sharing between the various players and partners in the world of work in all its components, including those specific to the sphere of artistic research and action, it periodically organizes thematic meetings.
This meeting is the 6th in a cycle that began in 2017 in Paris at the Musée des Arts et Métiers, followed in 2019 by a second at the Festival d'Avignon on the links between theater and work, and completed by two new meetings: in 2021 in Grenoble on the relationship between cinema and Work as part of the Écran total festival, and in 2022 on the theme of Writing and speaking about Work in Loos-en-Gohelle with Culture Commune Scène Nationale du bassin minier du Pas-de-Calais, and finally on the work and works of visual artists on Work in Dunkirk in resonance with the Art and Industry triennial of the FRAC grand Large and the LAAC.
Considering the world of work as a resource for exploring the complexity of the world, many artists confront their own work and creations with the values, issues and practices at stake. This sixth meeting will examine the diversity of aesthetics and the issues involved in the representation of work in today's choreographic creation, as well as the physical and mental working conditions involved in the practice of dance. The aim is to examine the representations of work in dance, as well as some of the health issues involved in the work of dancers and choreographers.
