Professional meetup

The CN D proposes a professional meeting on the creation and dissemination of jazz dance. The day will provide an opportunity to discuss current issues in this aesthetic and identify possible solutions. As its DNA is built on a strong crossbreeding and numerous imprintings, the aim is to see in what way jazz dance is one of the most contemporary dances, and how it feeds and inspires current choreographic creation in visible or invisible ways. Despite some omissions and difficulties in accessing distribution, this meeting will shed light on the way it works and its levers of resistance. The meeting will provide an opportunity to exchange ideas and identify solutions.

The day's events will include a round table in the morning, movement workshops, testimonials from the younger generation and a conference on jazz dance: creative processes of yesterday and today in the afternoon, as well as time for reflection and discussion throughout the day.
