Diego ‘Odd Sweet’ Dolciami
A dancer, performer and choreographer, Diego aka Odd Sweet is a graduate of the Juste Debout School professional hip hop training course. He has studied all styles of street dance and specialises in swing dance. Keen to connect with his roots, in 2014 he set up his company ODD Visions, in which he seeks to highlight the versatility of house dance and the rhythmic richness of Afro-American vernacular dances. An advocate of clubbing culture, he also practices old-style voguing and waacking. His atypical and multi-disciplinary background has led him to work on the stages of national theatres as well as with the music group Caravan Palace. With a keen eye on passing on his knowledge and techniques, he is also a teacher of ‘Charleston Evolution’ (a personal fusion of swing and urban dance) and a dance conference leader. He is currently working on his latest creation _GROUND. A piece that explores vernacular jazz dances by linking internal dialogues and the singularity of the individual. It is due to premiere on 18 and 19 January 2025 at the Suresnes Cités Danse Festival.
