Four experimental films for one drummer. Didier Ambact, alone on stage, combines Maya Deren’s dreamlike cinematography with his favorite instruments and the sound effects inherited from trap drummers. While the screen shows the dance, the live music on stage plays with the constraints of time, navigating from one short film to the next. In the spirit of folk fairs, early cinematography and drumming, his ciné-concert probes the relationship between time, body and space.
