The association for the 17th-18th century performing arts research center has invited Anne-Catherine Bucher (Le Concert lorrain) and Guillaume Jablonka (Divertimenty) to present their recent production of the college ballet Ludus Pastoralis (“pastoral entertainment”) that was reprised for the first time in its entirety and its original form in Metz. In the same perspective as the work of ACRAS XVIIe-XVIIIe, they followed the manuscript narrating the event as scrupulously as possible and using the available scientific knowledge, while taking into account today’s conditions for the production of live performance; the manuscript is stored at the BNF (Bibliothèque nationale de France). This research event will be an occasion to evoke the latest discoveries about this piece and its authors, but also music, dance and theatre in college ballets.
