Danse et handicap moteur - pour une accessibilité des pratiques chorégraphiques
vol. 2

An essential tool for all dance teachers and professionals, this practical handbook addresses the issue of motor disability

This book aims at assisting dance teachers and professionals in providing accessibility for persons with motor disabilities: access to works, to choreographic heritage and to dance as a practice, in all its diversity. Feeding on the experience of actors from the choreographic sector, it provides effective educational approaches, skills, examples of ‘best practice’, resource agencies and reference books, etc. It is the second volume in a series of 5 booklets whose content is adapted to each disability: Dance and visual impairment (published in 2014), Dance and hearing handicap, Dance and mental and psychological disability, Dance and severe and multiple impairment.

The purpose of Cemaforre (French national resource centre for cultural accessibility) is to develop and promote access to culture and entertainment for all, particularly disadvantaged persons as a result of ill health or disabilities (motor, sensory, psychological or mental). This resource centre is supported by the Ministry of Culture and Communication and the Ministry of Social Affairs, Health and Women's Rights.
