Bookseller, gallery owner, journalist and critic, Gilberte Cournand dedicated her life to dance. This is reflected in her impressive personal collection, which she recently donated to the Centre national de la danse. The catalogue covers the various media included in the donation - books, periodicals, archives, scheduled performances, photographs – and gives detailed references on over 3,000 early and modern works that will be added the collection of documents in the CND media library.
Introductory texts, a portrait of Gilberte Cournand, a general presentation of the collection and an illustrated book on a selection of documents part of the donation enhance the catalogue.
This research tool will be useful for students, librarians, researchers and anyone interested in dance and related documents.
