Alain Buffard, Good Boy is an invitation to discover and question the multiple work created by the choreographer Alain Buffard (1960-2013), a successor of the major choreographic figures of the 1980s, who has contributed to the revival of the French scene. His own story and personal mythologies are entwined with a number of issues particular to his time, from Good Boy to Baron Samedi, from the onset of AIDS to post-colonialism studies.

This book, which brings together rich testimonies, a large iconography and many unpublished archive documents, sheds light on the journey, the performances and the thought of an artist who, through both a radical nature and fruitful questioning, created a complex work, ever- living and ever enriched by unresolved interrogations about the world and therefore, ourselves.
