Reinventing the Body

The workshop with choreographer Marcelo Evelin will be based on the material developed on his last creation Sick Dance. This creation deals with issues of subversion and inoperability to create a disjointed, unstable and somber dance that manifests itself as the reinvention of a body. The workshop will propose approaches, practices and procedures that foster creation, in a wide space between perception and action. It will propose to formulate questions and broaden common interests instead of obtaining answers or reaching conclusions; and will combine conceptual discussions and circulation of ideas with physical practices and research around performance possibilities.
