Dance / Documentary

Ikram Benchrif and Paul Girard invite participants to experiment with a sensitive inquiry: how can we use our bodies to arrange the materials of the world, to turn them into stories? For a documentary dance to emerge, there must be a terrain: a place, users, uses, and the desire to connect with it. This dance would then be all the ways we practice relationships and our attempts to turn them into a living archive. Through back-and-forth trips between the field and the studio, the aim is to describe, arrange, and experiment individually and collectively with ways of envisaging a documentary gesture through the body.
