Marry Me in Bassiani and To Da Bone of (LA)HORDE – CCN Ballet national de Marseille

Marry me in Bassiani, the short documentary based on the play of the same name created by (LA)HORDE in 2019 - and revived at the Théâtre de la Ville from 12 to 15 October 2023 - tells the story of the collective's creative process around the play. By taking the viewer behind the scenes of the creation process, the film allows us to grasp the artistic, geopolitical and human issues at stake in (LA)HORDE's work. Through videos combining studio rehearsals in Tbilisi, testimonials from the dancers, archive footage of the city and interviews with the collective, the film offers an insight into the complex links between local traditions and the globalised world.

The documentary TO DA BONE takes us behind the scenes of the choreographic piece of the same name in the run-up to its creation, from Charleroi to Montreal, right up to its premiere at the FTA - Festival TransAmériques.
This adventure plunges us into (LA)HORDE's work around the concept of 'post-internet' dances and the role of the media in their ability to mobilise and incite protest movements. From hard style dances to hard dances such as Tekstyme, Shuffle and Jumpstyle, 11 jumpers from nine different countries share the energy and rage of their dance.
