Join Assemblé in Pantin, Cergy or Les Lilas!
Assemblé invites you to share the dances that are part of you or that touch you, and to create new dances together, to be presented during Un kilomètre de danse, on 27 May 2023 in Pantin!
Assemblé will take place from November to May with, to begin with, workshops and discovery meetings; then workshops linking choreographic practices and mediation, punctuated by cultural outings; and finally, a collective restitution on the occasion of Un kilomètre de danse, the dance festival in Pantin.
The deployment of Assemblé in the city of Cergy is part of the "Cultural Twinning" scheme of the Ile de France prefecture, which links the CND with the priority district of the city of Cergy Axe Majeur-Horloge.
For its deployment in the town of Les Lilas, the CND invited the Rencontres chorégraphiques internationales de Seine-Saint-Denis to accompany the project in collaboration with the Théâtre du Garde-Chasse.
Invite
From October to December, times of discovery of the project with workshops led by artists and mediators and times of discussion around dance, festive events, performances and meeting times are organised to invite as many inhabitants as possible to participate in Assemblé.
Investigating and creating
In order to encourage immersion in the project, the workshops take place on Friday evenings and Saturday days, once or twice a month, from January to May.
Initially, the participants investigate the dances, share choreographic and mediation practices, and enjoy more informal meetings such as group lunches. Cultural outings are also organised and punctuate the project.
In a second phase, a creative process unfolds. From the dances, gestures and movements shared, the group creates a new dance. This involves searching, questioning, making choices and accepting to lose oneself a little sometimes!
Rendering
The collective creation is presented during Un kilomètre de danse, a dance festival in Pantin. Other performances will be planned for groups from Les Lilas and Cergy (dates and venues to be determined).
