Agalie Vandamme / CCN2 – Rachid Ouramdane

25 > 27.09.18

CN D Lyon

Work based around the phenomenon of murmuration, as used in the latest creations of Rachid Ouramdane: among birds, in particular, he has examined those large masses that can be seen in the sky, which move like a single living entity. As in a domino effect, or chain reaction, this is a work on the capacity of the body and of the group to adapt to an unforeseen situation.

Agalie Vandamme entered the Balletomania school, then, in 1996 the École Royale des Ballets in Antwerp. At the age of 18, she joined the Ballet Royal des Flandres, which was directed at the time by Robert Denvers, where was became First Soloist in 2002. In 2003, she joined the Ballets de Monte Carlo, under the direction of the choreographer Jean-Christophe Maillot. She has also taken part in creations by such guest choreographers as Jacopo Godani for the Venice Biennale, or Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui.
