Legal encounter

The participation of amateurs, whether this be on the initiative of a professional company, a performance site, or a collectivity, always raises a series of questions when it comes to regulations. Should amateurs always be paid? What rates should be applied? What is a professional show? The Act of 7^th July 2016 covering the freedom of creation, architecture and heritage (or “LCAP”), its application decree dated 10^th May 2017 and a ruling on 25^th January 2018 have provided a legal framework and specify the rules that allow for unpaid amateur artists to be included in professional shows. This legal encounter will provide the necessary keys for the success and securement of such projects.
