Elisabeth Lebovici is an art historian and critic. In particular, she was a journalist on the culture desk of the daily paper Libération from 1991 to 2006. Since 2006, she has codirected a seminar at the École des Hautes Études en Sciences Sociales (EHESS, Paris) entitled “Something You Should Know: Artistes et Producteurs”. Her latest book, Ce que le sida m’a fait. Art et activisme à la fin du XXe siècle, was published by Éditions La Maison Rouge/JRP Ringier in 2017.

Lire, relire, relier (Read, reread, connect)

The workshop I am thinking about will be devoted to reading texts together – chapters from books, letters, or articles. To begin with, we will read and comment on a text taken from a syllabus which will be discovered later. Then, the participants in the workshop will react using a text, a gesture, a film, the shooting of a performance that we will discover, together once more, before making comments.
